Number of Marriages… There were 433 marriages registered in Quezon in August 2022. It recorded a decrease of 35.37 percent from the previous month’s total of 670. The daily average of registered marriages during the month was 14, lower than the recorded daily average of 22 in July 2022. Marriages by Place of Occurrence… Lucena City (55 or 12.7 percent) had the highest number of registered marriages, followed by Sariaya (42 or 9.7 percent) and Infanta (30 or 6.9 percent). Tiaong (27 or 6.2 percent) and Candelaria (25 or 5.8 percent) recorded the next highest registered marriages. Around 63.4 percent of the 41 municipalities/cities in the province registered less than 10 marriage occurrences during the month. Marriages by Type of Ceremony… The most number of registered marriages was solemnized under civil rites, with 193 or 44.6 percent. Marriages performed under church rites totaled 184 accounting for 42.5 percent of the total registered marriages. Marriages celebrated under other types of ceremonies comprised 12.9 percent.
