Number of Deaths… There were 1,470 registered deaths in Quezon in January 2021. It recorded an increase of 10.9 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,325.  The daily average of death occurrences during the month was 47 or approximately two deaths per hour. Deaths by Sex… There were more male deaths (864 or 58.8 percent) than female deaths (606 or 41.2 percent) registered during the month.  The death sex ratio was calculated at 143 males for every 100 females in January 2021. Deaths by Age-group… Majority of the death occurrences belonged to age group 60 and over with a total of 880. This comprised more than half or 59.9 percent of the total deaths recorded for the month. Age group 50-54 years old registered the next highest death toll which accounted for 115 or 7.8 percent. Infant Deaths…  Infant deaths totaled 40 or 2.7 percent of the total mortality.  Infant deaths were higher for males (26) than females (14) giving an infant death sex ratio of 186 males for every 100 females.
