Number of Deaths… There were 1,325 registered deaths in Quezon in December 2020. It recorded an increase of 9.5 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,210.  The daily average of death occurrences during the month was 43 or approximately two deaths per hour. Deaths by Sex… There were more male deaths (758 or 57.2 percent) than female deaths (567 or 42.8 percent) registered during the month.  The death sex ratio was calculated at 134 males for every 100 females in December 2020. Deaths by Age-group… Majority of the death occurrences belonged to age group 60 and over with a total of 761. This comprised more than half or 57.4 percent of the total deaths recorded for the month. Age group 55-59 years old registered the next highest death toll which accounted for 103 or 7.8 percent Infant Deaths… Infant deaths totaled 50 or 3.8 percent of the total mortality.  Infant deaths were higher for males (27) than females (23) giving an infant death sex ratio of 117 males for every 100 females.
