CPI, Year-on-Year The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Lucena City for the month of June 2022 was posted at 112.9 index points. The CPI increased by 5.5 index points from last year’s figure of 107.4. CPI by Commodity Group, Year-on-Year Alcoholic beverages and tobacco showed the highest CPI (162.2 index points) among the commodity groups. The group of financial services followed with 146.0 index points. Recreation, sport and culture registered the least CPI of 100.5 index points followed by information and communication with 100.9 index points. Inflation Rate, Year-on-Year The inflation rate (IR) in the city was recorded at 5.1 percent during the reference month. It increased by 0.9 percentage points from the previous month’s figure of 4.2 percent and by 0.6 percentage points from the rate of 4.5 percent a year ago.
