The headline inflation in Batangas eased to 6.6 percent in September 2021 from 7.0 percent in August 2021. Inflation in September 2020 was posted at 1.5 percent with the September 2021 inflation, Batangas average inflation from January to September 2021 stood at 5.1 percent. The top three commodity groups that recorded high price indices were: alcoholic beverages and tobacco (356.9), restaurant and miscellaneous goods and services (150.3) and health (147.2). On the other hand, the bottom 3 commodity groups with low price indices were: communication (103.6), Transport (111.3) and recreation culture (115.3)
