Inflation Rates in Rizal, All Items (2018 = 100) The inflation rate for Rizal for All Items increased to 8.5 percent in November 2022 from 7.9 percent in October 2022. For the month-on-month comparison, the uptrend in overall inflation was mainly due to an increase in the index of "Transport" from 12.5 to 17.1 percent. "Restaurant and Accommodation Services " and “Health” also contributed to the uptrend, posting an increase of 1.4 and 2.6 index differences from 5.2 to 6.6 percent and 7.1 from 4.5 percent respectively. "Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco" also increased by 1.9 percent, from 12.2 to 14.1 index. “Information and Communication”, “Recreation Sport and Culture” and Clothing and Footwear” had 0.6, 0.5, and 0.3 index difference from previous month’s inflation rate. In addition, “Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance” and “Personal Care, Miscellaneous Goods and Services" both had 0.4 index difference. “Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages” and “Housing Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels” both decline by -0.8 index points from 12.3 to 11.5 percent and from 4.3 to 3.5 percent respectively. The inflation rate of “Education Services”, “” and “Financial Services” remained stable during the month. Table 2. Consumer Price Index of Commodity Groups in Rizal: (November 2022 and 2021) The CPI of Rizal for all items was 122.8, an increase of 9.6 points from last year's index of 113.2. The highest increase in the index was 21.9 points for "Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco," from 155.8 in November last year to 177.7 in November this year. Second in rank was “Transport,” which rose from 123.4 to 144.5 index points. Furthermore, the index for "Food and NonAlcoholic Beverages" increased from 116.1 to 129.4 with a 13.3-point gain. Similarly, the annual increase in "Health" and "Restaurant and Accommodation Services” was at 8.0 and 7.7 points from 112.6 to 120.6 and from 116.7 to 124.4 points respectively. “Personal Care, Miscellaneous Goods and Services" was at 6.8 points from 107.6 to 114.4. “Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance” at 4.3 points. “Housing Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels” with 3.6 index points; “Recreation, Sport and Culture” was registered at 2.5 points from 110.5 to 113.0; “Clothing and Footwear “at 1.6 percent, “Information and Communication” at 1.2 percent and “Education Services” at 1.1 percent “Financial Services” index remained stable at 146.0 index level. Consumer Price Index of Commodity Groups in Rizal: (November and October 2022) Month – on – Month The price situation in Rizal on the month-on-month basis moved up by 2.0 from 120.8 to 122.8 index level. For this month, “Transport” moved up by 7.4 points due to price increase in transport services. Also, 2.9-point index differences were observed in "Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco", and "Health. “Food and Non- Alcoholic Beverages, “Restaurant and Accommodation Services had 2.0 and 1.6 index difference. “Personal Care, and “Information and Communication” both had 0.6 index. “Furnishings Household Equipment and Household Maintenance”, Housing, Water and Electricity and “Recreation, Sport and Culture” recorded 0.6,0.5 and 0.4 index respectively.
