Inflation Rate     Figure 1. Inflation Rates in Rizal, All Items (2018 = 100)   A 9.7 percent inflation rate was recorded for Rizal for All Items in January 2023, up from 9.1 percent in December 2022.   The overall inflation trend is primarily driven by an increase in the indexes for Restaurants and Accommodation Services, Personal Care and Miscellaneous Goods and Services, as well as Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages with index differences of 2.0, 1.6 and 1.5 respectively. Additionally, Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance contributed to the increase by 1.0 percent, from 4.7 to 5.7.   Meanwhile, there were index differences of -0.6 and -0.4 index points from the previous month in Recreation Sports and Culture, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, Transport and Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and Other Fuels   Education Services and Financial Services remained stable during the month.123   Table 2. Consumer Price Index of Commodity Groups in Rizal: (January 2023 and 2022)     The CPI of Rizal for all items was 125.8, an increase of 11.1 points from last year's index of 114.7.   The highest increase in the index was 24.2 points for "Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco," from 158.2 in January last year to 182.4 this year. Second in rank was “Transport,” which rose from 123.3 to 143.0 index points. Furthermore, the index for "Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages" increased from 117.8 to 134.5 with a 16.7-point gain   Similarly, the annual increase in "Restaurant and Accommodation Services” and "Health" was at 11.8 and 8.3 points from 118.0 to 129.8 and from 113.5 to 121.8 points respectively. “Personal Care, Miscellaneous Goods and Services" was at 8.2 points from 109.8 to 118.0. “Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance” was at 6.3 points. “Housing Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels” recorded 3.7 index points; “Recreation, Sport and Culture” and “Clothing and Footwear “both registered 2.0 points from 112.0 to 114.0; and 110.0 to 112.0 respectively. “Information and Communication and Education Services had with 1.1 percent “Financial Services” remained stable at 146.0 index level   Figure 3. Consumer Price Index of Commodity Groups in Rizal: (January 2023 and December 2022) Month – on – Month   The price situation in Rizal on the month-on-month basis moved up by 2.4 index from 123.4 to 125.8 index level   For this month, Food and Non- Alcoholic Beverages moved up by 4.0 points. An increase of 3.8 index difference was observed in Restaurant and Accommodation Services, while Personal Care Miscellaneous Goods and Services had 3.4 index   Housing, Water and Electricity had 1.8 and Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance Health with 1.4 index difference. Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and Transport had 1.3 and 1.0 index difference respectively   Information and Communication, Education Services and Financial Services remain unchanged   .
