August 2022 inflation in Rizal for All Items decline to 5.2 percent from 6.8 percent in July 2022 For the month-on-month comparison, the decrease in the overall inflation was mainly brought about by lower increment in the index of “Transport” from 17.4 percent in July 2022 to 12.1 on August 2022. Also contributing to the downtrend was the lower increments in percent of “Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages” from 7.4 to 4.0 percent, “Recreation, Sport and Culture” from 2.2 to 1.9 percent, Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels from 6.0 to 5.1 percent and “Clothing and Footwear” from 1.7 to 1.5 while “Alcoholic Beverages Tobacco posted 8.6 from 6.5 percent, Furnishing, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance from 2.6 to 3.7 percent and “Education Services” had 1.0 increment. Likewise, increases were slower in the indices of the following commodity groups:  Personal Care, Miscellaneous Goods and Services at 0.5 percent;  Health at 0.4 percent;  Restaurants and Accommodation at 0.2 percent. The inflation rate of “Information and Communication,” and “Financial Services didn’t change during the month.
