PSC QUEZON HOLDS THE 1ST QUARTERLY MEETING FOR 2023 The Provincial Statistics Committee of Quezon (PSCQ) held its 1st Quarterly Meeting for 2023 on 15 February 2023 at the Conference Room of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Quezon Provincial Statistical Office, Lucena City. The meeting was presided by Engr. Russell C. Narte, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC) and PSC Chairperson. It was participated in by PSC members from different government agencies, academe and representatives from private sectors. 2021 SURVEY OF INNOVATION ACTIVITIES The Philippine Statistics Authority undertook the 2021 Survey of Innovation Activities (SIA) of Establishments. This was the third round of survey conducted on the innovation activities of establishments, the second round was in 2015. Information on innovation shall provide a better understanding of the innovative behavior and activities of firms. The 2021 SIA of establishments aims to examine the innovative performance of economic actors across all major sectors of the economy, including the extent of the platform economy, and for providing internationally comparable data on innovation that are systems-oriented and policy-relevant in the Philippine setting.The data can also encourage researchers and academic institutions to conduct more research and policy analysis on local innovation processes. PSC QUEZON PROMOTES THE EPHILID Provincial Statistics Officer Airene A. Pucyutan of PSA Quezon guested in the media forum at Kapihan sa PIA on January 11, 2023 held at Pacific Mall, Lucena City. Featured on the discussion was the ePhilID or the printed digital version of the PhilID. Issuance of ePhilID is a strategy of the PSA to complement the production and distribution of the physical PhilID cards. The registrants can immediately use it and enjoy the benefit of being a PhilSys-registered such as better access to more financial and social protection services. The printed ePhilID has the same functionality and validity as the physical PhilID. PSA CRS LUCENA CITY GOES LIVE UNDER CIVIL REGISTRY SYSTEM-INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROJECT 2 (CRS-ITP2) PSA Civil Registry System (CRS) Lucena City outlet went live under Civil Registry System-Information Technology Project 2 (CRS-ITP2) last 19 January 2023. The CRS-ITP2 involves the computerization of the civil registry operations of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and is designed to collect, store and manage civil registry documents and the specimen signatures of all city and municipal registrars using imaging technology. The CRS-ITP2 aims to enhance accessibility, security and quality service for citizens requesting civil registry documents.
