The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Quezon Provincial Statistical Office participated in the Kapihan sa PIA program, a media forum hosted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Quezon, held on February 12, 2025 at Pacific Mall, Lucena City.

This event was attended by various media organizations in Quezon including Brigada News FM, 95.1 Kiss FM, Sentinel Times, Radyo Pilipinas Lucena, DZAT Life Radio, Quezon Media Network, 98.3 One FM, STAN Up Balikatan, Ratsada, and Radyo Kaisahan 107.7 FM Sariaya.

During the program, PSA-Quezon Provincial Statistics Officer Airene A. Pucyutan covered several topics, including the importance and theme of the 35th Civil Registration Month celebration, requesting civil registry documents and online appointment procedures, challenges in civil registration, mobile registration activities, concerns on the printing and issuances of National IDs, and among others.

PSA-Quezon emphasizes the importance of civil registration for establishing legal identity and accessing social services. The office also cautions the public against unauthorized individuals offering assistance with civil registry document corrections and fake National ID online transactions.

The Kapihan sa PIA program provides an opportunity for media organizations to update the public about the projects, programs, and activities of the government offices in line with their mission and mandates. (D. Cabalsa/PSA Quezon)
