The total inventory of Livestock and Poultry in the province of Rizal as of January 1, 2021 reached 2,942,696 heads, which was 11.59 percent or 385,956 heads lower than recorded as of January 1, 2020. In terms of population by sector, poultry had a higher contribution in the inventory with a total of 3,262,500 heads. The large number of poultry was attributed by layer chicken with a total of 1,450,000 heads. On the other hand, livestock inventory as of January 1, 2021 was posted at 100,096 heads. For the poultry sector, the inventory of Layer chicken had the major share in the overall inventory of poultry contributing 51.37 percent while broiler and native shared only 47.82 percent and 0.81 percent respectively of the total poultry population in the province as of January 1, 2021.
