Marriage Statistics: 2018 Quezon (Preliminary Results)

Vital registration is a continuous process. Hence there is a need to specify certain cut-off period for purposes of reporting. The Marriage Statistics in Quezon presented in this report contains highlights and summary of statistical tables of marriages that occurred on or before 2018 and registered from January 2018 to December 2018. Events that occurred in 2018 but were not registered during the month were not included in this publication. For this report, Decentralized Vital Statistics System (DVSS) 2011 was used in data encoding. In the generation of DVSS tables however, CSPro 7.1 was utilized. Number of Marriages… There were 9,216 registered marriages in Quezon for the year 2018 showing an increase of 3.6 percent from the previous year’s total of 8,897. On the average, about 25 marriages occurred per day in 2018. Marriages by Place of Occurrence… Lucena City (1,054 or 11.4 percent) had the highest number of registered marriages during the year. Jomalig recorded the least number of marriages with 13 or 0.1 percent. Marriages by Month of Occurrence… May was the most favored month to marry, with a total of 1,327 marriages. It registered the highest daily average of 43 marriages with an index o fDecember had the next highest number of marriages with 981, or a daily average of 32 and an index of 128.
