In September 2022, inflation in Rizal for All Items increased to 6.2 percent from 5.2 percent in August 2022. For the month-on-month comparison, the uptrend in the overall inflation was mainly due to an increase in the index of "Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages" from 4.0 percent to 7.1 percent. "Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco" also contributed to the uptrend, posting an increase of 8.6 to 10.3 percent. “Personal Care, Miscellaneous Goods and Services” and “Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels” both from 5.1 to 5.3 percent.” Transport posted a 0.1 index difference from 12.1 to 12.2 percent. Meanwhile, “Recreation, Sport and Culture”, “Clothing and Footwear” and “Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance” had -0.5, -0.2, and -0.1 index difference from 1.9 to 1.4, from1.5 to 1.3 percent and from 3.7 to 3.6 percent respectively. The inflation rate of “Health”, “Information and Communication,” “Education Services” and “Financial Services remain during the month The CPI of Rizal for all items was 119.1 increased by 7.0 points from last year's index of 112.1. "Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco" registered the highest index change of 16.1 points, from 155.7 of previous year's month of September to 171.8 of this year's same month. Moreover, index gains were also observed in “Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages” with index point of 123.2 from 115.0 last year Similarly, the annual hike in "Restaurant and Accommodation Services” was registered at 6.1 points from 116.7 to 122.8; “Personal Care, Miscellaneous Goods and Services” at 5.7 points. “Housing Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels” with 5.4 index point; “Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance” at 4.0 points; “Health at 3.1 percent, “Recreation, Sport and Culture” at 1.6 points; “Clothing and Footwear “at 1.4 percent, “Education Services” at 1.1 percent and “Information and Communication” at 0.1 percent “Financial Services” remained stable at 146.0 index level The price situation in Rizal on the month-on-month basis went up by 0.8 from 118.4 to 119.1 index level. For this month, “Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco” moved up by 3.0 points brought about by price increase in alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. Likewise, price increase was also observed in “Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages” with 1.6 points. “Housing, Water, Electricity Gas and Other Fuels” and Restaurant and Accommodation Services” both had 0.7 points. “Personal Care, and Miscellaneous Goods and Services”, “Furnishings Household Equipment and Household Maintenance had 0.3, and 0.2 index respectively. “Clothing and Footwear”, Transport”, and Recreation, Sport and Culture recorded 0.7 index difference. “Information and Communication”, “Financial Services” and “Health” remained stable this month.
