  Marriage is a special contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life   As the table shows, month of December had 1,007 timely registered marriages compared to 1,105 of the previous month with a recorded decrease of 4.46 percent in registration.   The city/municipality with the highest number of timely registered marriages was recorded in the City of Antipolo with 292 registered documents, followed by Tanay with 117 and Taytay with 107 registered marriages. (See table B.)   The City of Antipolo having the highest registered marriages in the province of Rizal, documented Catholic marriages as the most officiated with one hundred twenty one (121) instances, as well as in Civil Ceremonies with one hundred eight (108) instances and in other religious rites with sixty three (63) recorded events.     There was fourteen (14) recorded widow on bride’s civil status and nineteen (19) widowers on the grooms. Province-wide, civil ceremonies initiated by the local chief executives in coordination with the municipal civil registrars including those solemnized by judges, recorded the highest number of registrations with 583 (57.89%).   Ceremonies officiated by other religious sectors recorded 194 events or 19.27 percent.   Roman Catholic ceremonies recorded 230 events or 22.84 percent. (refer to Figure II)   Teen bride had eighteen (18) or 1.79% recorded marriages while three (3) or 0.30% on the groom recorded events this month. There was four (4) recorded groom who got married with age of 75 years old and over that tied the knot. The modal age group for groom and bride was at 25- 29 years old with 344 grooms and 408 brides (See Table C).
