This special release presents statistical data on marriages occurring for the month of September 2022 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of registered marriages by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered marriages by place type, type of ceremony and age group. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.   Marriages in Cavite Table 1 shows that the Silang recorded the highest registered marriages of 136, followed by Tagaytay City and City of Imus with 105 and 99 weddings, respectively. The least registered marriages were recorded in General Emilio Aguinaldo with three (3), followed by Magallanes and Ternate with five (5) and ten (10) weddings, respectively.   A total of 963 marriages were registered in the Province of Cavite for the month of September 2022. Timely registered marriages accounted for 98.5% or 949 and late registered marriages accounted for 1.5% or 14 weddings. The highest number of late registered marriages were from Alfonso, City of Bacoor, Tagaytay City and Trece Martires City; all of which had two (2) late registered marriages. Out of 23 cities/municipalities in the province, three (3) cities and 10 municipalities had no late registrations.   Figure 1 shows that among the place types for marriage, Office of the Mayor, Judge and the like had the highest number of weddings with 409 or 42.5%, followed by Church with 298 or 30.9%, and Others with 256 or 26.6%.     Figure 2 shows that among the type of ceremonies, Civil Wedding rites had the highest registered marriages with 411, followed by the Roman Catholic Church and Other Religious Rites with 298 and 252, respectively. Muslim Wedding had the least with two (2) reported marriages.   Figure 3 shows that majority of the brides and grooms were from the age group of 25-29 with 344 grooms and 405 brides. It was followed by the age group of 30-34 with 307 grooms and 274 brides. The age group of under twenty (20) had the least with only three (3) grooms and 12 brides.    Summary The Province of Cavite recorded a total of 963 marriages for the month of September 2022. Silang had the highest registered marriages of 136 and General Emilio Aguinaldo had the least with three (3) marriages. Majority were timely registered. Late registered marriages were only 14. No late registered marriages were reported in 3 cities and 10 municipalities in the province.    Office of the Mayor, Judge and the like was the most common wedding venue. Civil wedding dominated as the most preferred type of ceremony. Most grooms and brides were from the age group of 25-29 and the least were from the age group of under 20.
