This special release presents the statistical data on marriages occurring for the month of June 2024 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data on registered marriages by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered marriages by nationality of bride and groom. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.

Marriages in Cavite

A total of 1,103 marriages were registered in the Province of Cavite for the month of June 2024. Figure 1 shows that City of Bacoor recorded the highest registered marriages at 174, followed by Silang and City of Imus with 152 and 113 weddings, respectively. The least registered marriages with below ten (10) registered marriages were recorded in Magallanes with only six (6), followed by General Emilio Aguinaldo with seven (7) weddings, and Mendez with nine (9) weddings.

Figure 2 shows that 1,070 or 97.0 percent of the 1,103 grooms in June 2024 were Filipino citizens. Foreign citizens recorded 33 or 3.0 percent of the grooms in Cavite. The highest number of foreign citizens came from United States of America with 11 grooms, followed from Australia, China, Germany, and Japan with one (1) groom each.

On the other hand, Figure 3 shows that in June 2024, 1,099 or 99.6 percent of the 1,103 brides were Filipino citizens, while foreign citizens totaled to only four (4) or 0.4 percent of the brides in Cavite. Of the 4 foreign citizens, three (3) came from United States of America.

Moreover, timely registered marriages accounted for 1,094 or 99.2 percent while late registered marriages accounted for only 9 or 0.8 percent. The highest number of timely registered marriages came from City of Bacoor which had 170 timely registered marriages while the highest number of late registered marriages was from City of Bacoor as well with four (4) late registered marriages. On the other hand, in terms of percentage, late-registered marriages was highest in Trece Martires City with 6.3%. Of the 23 cities/municipalities in the province, 5 cities and 12 municipalities had all of their recorded marriages registered on time.

SUMMARY

The Province of Cavite recorded a total of 1,103 marriages for the month of June 2024. City of Bacoor had the highest registered marriages of 174 and also with the most number of timely registered marriages. Magallanes had the least with six (6) marriages. Majority of the registered marriages were timely registered. The total late registered marriages were only nine (9). No late registered marriages were reported in 5 cities and 12 municipalities in the province. Most of the grooms and brides are Filipino citizens. Grooms and brides with foreign citizenship reached 33 and 4, respectively.
