This special release presents statistical data on marriages occurring for the month of April 2023 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of registered marriages by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered marriages by place type, type of ceremony and age group. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.   Marriages in Cavite A total of 918 marriages were registered in the Province of Cavite for the month of April 2023. Table 1 shows that Silang recorded the highest registered marriages at 130, followed by Tagaytay City and City of Imus with 113 and 90 weddings, respectively. The least registered marriages was recorded in Magallanes with only five (5), followed by Ternate with 6 weddings, and Maragondon and Mendez having both 12 weddings. Moreover, timely registered marriages accounted for 902 or 98.3% while late registered marriages accounted for 16 or 1.7%. The highest number of timely registered marriages came from Silang which had 129 timely registered marriages. Out of 23 cities/municipalities in the province, four (4) cities and eleven (11) municipalities had no late registrations. Figure 1 shows that among the place types for marriage, Office of the Mayor, Judge and the like had the highest number of weddings with 397 or 43.2%, followed by Others with 291 or 31.7%, and Church with 230 or 25.1%. On the other hand, Figure 2 shows that among the type of ceremonies, Civil Wedding rites had the highest registered marriages with 398, followed by Other Religious Rites and Roman Catholic Church with 290 and 230, respectively. Muslim Wedding had no reported marriage. Moreover, Figure 3 shows that majority of the brides and grooms were from the age group of 25-29 with 336 grooms and 408 brides. It was followed by the age group of 30-34 with 280 grooms and 245 brides. The age group of under twenty (20) had the least with only one (1) groom and six (6) brides.   Summary The Province of Cavite recorded a total of 918 marriages for the month of April 2023. Silang had the highest registered marriages of 130 while Magallanes had the least with only five (5) marriages. Majority were timely registered. Late registered marriages were only 16. No late registered marriages were reported in 4 cities and 11 municipalities in the province. Office of the Mayor, Judge and the like was the most common wedding venue. Civil wedding dominated as the most preferred type of ceremony. Most grooms and brides were from the age group of 25-29 and the least were from the age group of under 20.

There were 698 marriages registered in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 2.92 percent from the previous month’s total of 719.

DEATH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: February 2024 (Preliminary Results)

There were 1,198 registered deaths in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 22.4 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,543.
