This special release provides data on approved building permits that covers all municipalities and cities for the construction of residential and non-residential structures, additions/repairs, renovation, and demolitions in the Province of Cavite that occurred during the month of August 2022.   Data gathered from approved building permits of various Local government offices of the province were generated for the purpose of calculating the national income accounts and estimating the level of construction activity.   The total number of buildings constructed for the month of August 2022 was 2,698. Table 1 shows that Municipality of Naic had the most buildings built with 1,081 buildings. This was followed by City of Gen. Trias and Municipality of Tanza with 300 and 237 constructions, respectively. Also showed significant numbers of construction were City of Imus with 232 and Trece Martires City with 2,116 construction.   The Municipality of Kawit recorded the least buildings constructed for the month of August with only four constructions in total. The Municipalities of General Emilio Aguinaldo and Ternate also recorded fewer number of projects with both six buildings constructed.   As Shown in table 1, the City of General Trias also got the highest Floor area Value for the month of August 2022, with a total of 113,497sqm for Floor Area and 1,043,938 for Value (PHP1,000). This was followed by Municipality of Silang with a Floor area of 64,796 sqm and 623,448 for Value (PHP1,000). Then Municipality of Naic with a total floor area of 49,716 sqm and 391,869 for Value (PHP1,000).   Figure 1 shows that the total building built during the month of August 2022 were 2,361buildings. Five percent or 122 of the total number of buildings constructed were non-residential, while 95.0% or 2,239 total were residential.   As shown in Figure 2, the majority of buildings built in August 2022 were new construction residential/non-residential, with 2,361 buildings, followed by additions with 242 and alterations and repairs with the least number of 95 construction projects.   Table 2 Shows that City of General Trias had the most construction with 85 new constructions, followed by City of Imus and City of Bacoor with 71 and 30 addition construction, respectively. Municipalities of Tanza with 24 and City of Dasmariñas with 17 newly constructed buildings.   The municipalities/cities of Alfonso, Cavite City, Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Indang, MendezNunez, Naic, Noveleta, Silang, Tagaytay City, and Ternate have not reported new construction projects for the month of August 2022.   Based on table 2, the City of General Trias recorded the highest value (PHP 1,000) with a total of 2,885 sqm for the Floor area and 31,638 for Value in additional construction for the month of August 2022. This was followed by City of Imus with a total floor area of 2,556 sqm and City of Bacoor with 1,439 sqm. Trece Martires City and City of Imus recorded the highest values, with 24,007 and 20,927 respectively.   Table 3 showed the City of Bacoor registered the most alterations and repairs with 29 alteration and repairs, followed by the cities of Dasmarinas and Carmona, with 28 and 12 constructions, respectively. Also recorded high numbers of alteration and repairs construction were Trece Martires City with 9 and City of Imus with seven reported alteration repair.   For the month of August 2022, the Municipality/Cities of Amadeo, Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Indang, Kawit, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez-Nunez, Noveleta, Tagaytay City, Ternate have no recorded alteration.   City of Bacoor also registered the highest value for construction on alterations and repairs for the month of August 2022 with 31,950 as a whole for Value (PHP1,000), followed by City of Dasmariñas and City of Imus with 23,436 and 6,599 respectively.   The total number of buildings under construction in the province for the month of August was 2,698. 95 percent of the 2,361 buildings or 2,239 of them were residential structures this month, 122 non-residential ones were built making up 5% of the total.   Municipality of Naic had the most buildings built with 1,081 buildings. This was followed by City of Gen. Trias and Municipality of Tanza with 300 and 237 constructions, respectively. Also showed significant numbers of construction were City of Imus with 232 and Trece Martires City with 2116 construction. Additionally, the cities of Dasmarinas and Carmona, with 28 and 12 constructions, respectively, had more alterations and repairs. Trece Martires City and the City of Imus respectively, have nine and seven approved alterations and repairs.   City of Bacoor also registered the highest value for construction on alterations and repairs for the month of August 2022 with 31,950 as a whole for Value (PHP1,000), followed by City of Dasmariñas and City of Imus with 23,436 and 6,599 respectively.   The combined floor area of all building types as of August 2022 was 362,411 square meters, with a total investment of Php 3,862,870.
