This special release provides data on approved building permits that covers all municipalities and cities for the construction of residential and non-residential structures, additions/repairs, renovation, and demolitions in the Province of Cavite that occurred during the month of April 2023. Data gathered from approved building permits of various local government offices of the province were generated for the purpose of calculating the national income accounts and estimating the level of construction activity. The total number of buildings constructed for the month of April 2023 was 751. Table 1 shows that among the 23 cities/municipalities, City of Gen. Trias had the most number of buildings built with 118. This was followed by City of Dasmariñas with 113 and City of Imus with 106 building constructions.  Also showed significant numbers of construction were from City of Bacoor with 93 and Municipality of Tanza with 64 constructions. The Municipality of Noveleta recorded the least buildings constructed for the month of April with only three (3) constructions. Municipalities of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes and Gen. M. Alvarez, also recorded few numbers of projects with 4 buildings constructed each. As shown in Table 1, Trece Martires City got the largest floor area with a total of 47,347 sq.m. This was followed by Municipality of Maragondon with a floor area of 16,693 sq.m. and City of Dasmariñas with 15,840 sq.m. Trece Martires City got the highest value with 671,830, followed by City of Dasmariñas with a value of 222,277   and City of Bacoor with a value of 201,697. Table 2 shows that City of Dasmariñas had the most residential constructions with 70, followed by Cities of Bacoor and Imus with 50 and 41 construction, respectively. Municipality of Noveleta and Gen. M. Alvarez had the least number with both 2 residential constructions. Trece Martires City recorded the largest floor area with a total of 40,719 sq.m and 398,394 for value in residential construction. Municipality of Noveleta had the smallest area with 77 sq.m. and had a value of 1,596. However, City of General Trias had the most number of non-residential constructions with 12 and with 5,695 sq.m. for the floor area and 72,302 value. Municipalities of Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Mendez-Nunez, Noveleta, Rosario, Ternate and Gen. M. Alvarez have no reported new construction for the month. Figure 1 shows the percentage distribution of the constructed residential and non- residential building in Cavite for April 2023. Eighty three percent or 404 comprised the residential construction while the remaining 17% or 85 were from the non-residential construction.   Table 3 shows that City of Gen. Trias had the most Addition constructions with 66 followed by Cities of Imus and Dasmariñas with 45 and 27 respectively. Also shared significant numbers were Municipality of Tanza had 24 and City of Bacoor had 18 newly constructed buildings. The Municipalities of Alfonso, Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Indang, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez-Nunez, Naic, Ternate and Cities of Cavite City and Trece Martires City have no reported new construction projects for the month of April 2023. The City of Gen. Trias recorded the largest area with a total of 2,234 sq.m. for the Floor Area and 22,795 for Value in additional construction in the same month. This was followed by City of Imus with 1,946 sq.m. and value of 21,436 and City of Dasmariñas with 1,606 sq.m. and a value of 16,687. Table 4 shows the City of Bacoor registered the most Alterations and Repairs with 19 followed by the City of Imus with 9 and City of Dasmariñas with 7.  Also recorded with alteration and repairs construction were Municipality of Carmona with 6 reports. The Municipalities of Alfonso, Amadeo, Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Indang, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez-Nunez, Naic, Noveleta, Rosario and Ternate have no reported alteration and repair. City of Bacoor registered the highest value for construction on Alterations and Repairs with 24,920 as a whole followed by Cities of Imus and Dasmariñas with 6,939 and 6,726, respectively. Summary The total number of buildings under construction in the province for the month of April 2023 was 751 building, 54% or 404 of them were residential structures, 11% or 85 were non-residential building, 27% or 205 were addition and the remaining 8% or 57 were alteration and repair. City of Gen. Trias had the most buildings built with 118 buildings. Trece Martires City got the most number of floor area with a total of 47,347 sq.m. and a value of 671,830. Municipality of Noveleta had the least number of building constructed with three (3) building and had a floor area of 108 sq.m. and a value of 2,023. For the addition of construction, City of General Trias got the highest with 66 followed by City of Imus with 45 and City of Dasmariñas with 27 additions while Municipalities of Alfonso, Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Indang, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez-Nunez, Naic, Ternate and Cities of Cavite City and Trece Martires City have no recorded addition. City of Bacoor got the highest number for alteration and repair construction with 19. On the other hand, Municipalities of Alfonso, Amadeo, Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Indang, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez-Nunez, Naic, Noveleta, Rosario and Ternate  have no recorded alterations. The combined floor area of all building types for April 2023 was 168,595 square meters, with a total investment of PhP 2,343,775.
