This Special Release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of October 2024 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by nationality of father and mother, usual residence of the mother, and type of birth. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.

Births in Cavite

Table 1 shows that there were 5,020 registered live births in the Province of Cavite for the month of October 2024. Male births accounted for 50.9 percent or 2,556 of the total births while female births accounted for 49.1 percent or 2,464. Males were higher by 92 than females. Four (4) cities and nine (9) municipalities recorded more male than female births. These were as follows: City of Dasmariñas, City of Imus, Tagaytay City and Trece Martires City and municipalities of Amadeo, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Indang, Kawit, Mendez, Noveleta, Rosario, Silang, and General Mariano Alvarez.

The City of Bacoor recorded the highest registered live births with 885 total registered births. This was followed by City of Dasmariñas and Trece Martires City with 815 and 669 registered live births, respectively. The least registered live births were recorded in Amadeo with eight (8), followed by Alfonso nine (9) and Ternate with 11 registered live births.

 

Table 2 shows that 84.6 percent or 4,246 were timely registered while 15.4 percent or 774 were late registered. Timely registered births were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days. These births were higher by 3,472 compared to late registered births.

General Emilio Aguinaldo had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 96.4 percent or 27 out of 28 total registered births. This was followed by Mendez with 96.0 percent or 48 out of 50 and Magallanes with 94.7 percent or 18 out of 19 registered births. On the other hand, Amadeo recorded the highest percentage of late registered births with 50.0 percent or four (4) out of eight (8) registered births. This was followed by Alfonso with 44.4 percent or four (4) out of nine (9) registered births and Indang with 37.2 percent or 16 out of 43 registered births.

 

Figure 1 shows that most of the babies born were from Filipino mother (5,017 or 99.9 percent) while three (3) or 0.1 percent were babies with foreign mother. Births with Filipino mothers were higher by 5.014.

 

Figure 2 shows that most of the babies born were from Filipino father (4,699 or 93.6 percent). On the other hand, 321 or 6.4 percent were babies with foreign father. Births with Filipino fathers were higher by 4,378.

 

Figure 3 shows that the majority of the babies’ mother were residents of Cavite with a total of 4,892 while residents of other provinces were 128.

 

Figure 4 shows that majority of birth deliveries were single with a total of 4,981 of which 2,542 were males and 2,439 were females. Twins had a total of 38 composed of 14 males and 24 females. Triplets or more had one (1) female birth.

 

Summary

The Province of Cavite had recorded a total of 5,020 live births for the month of October 2024. Male births were predominant in the province. Overall, males (2,556) outnumbered females (2,464) by 92. The highest number of registered births came from City of Bacoor with 885 and the least came from Amadeo with eight (8) live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. There were also more live births with Filipino mothers and fathers than births with foreign fathers and mothers. Majority of the mothers were residents of Cavite and among the types of birth, single was the most common.
