This special release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of October 2022 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by legitimacy status, place type and attendant-at-birth. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.   Births in Cavite   Table 1 shows a total of 5,430 live births were registered for the month of October 2022. Male births accounted for 50.2% or 2,728 of the total births while female births accounted for 49.8% or 2,702. Males were higher by 26 than females. One (1) city and eight (8) municipalities recorded more females than males. These were as follows: City of General Trias and municipalities of Alfonso, Carmona, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Indang, Kawit, Magallanes, Noveleta, and Silang. The same number of male and female births were registered in Tagaytay City and Rosario.   The City of Dasmariñas had the highest registered live births in the province with 876 births composed of 443 males and 433 females, which accounted for 16.1% of the total registered births. This was followed by City of Bacoor and Trece Martires City with 805 and 635 registered live births, respectively. Ternate had the least number of registered live births with 19, followed by Amadeo and Magallanes with 22 and 28 births, respectively.   Table 2 shows that 77.8% or 4,226 were timely registered and 22.2% or 1,204 were late registered. Timely registered births were higher by 3,022 compared to late registered births. Majority were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days.   General Mariano Alvarez had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 86.3% or 170 out of 197 total registered births. More than 80% timely registered births were also recorded in General Mariano Alvarez with 86.3%, Tagaytay City with 85.4%, Naic with 85.0%, City of Dasmariñas 84.2%, Silang with 84.1%, Trece Martires City with 83.3%, City of Imus with 83.0% and City of General Trias with 82.6% timely registered births. Magallanes had the highest percentage of late registered births with 67.9 % or 19 out of 28 total registered births. More than 50% late registered births also recorded in Kawit with 59.6%, Alfonso with 56.3%, and Mendez with 53.2% late registered births.       Figure 1 shows that 3,771 or 69.4% were non-marital births or babies born out-of-wedlock and 1,659 or 30.6% were marital births. Non-marital births were higher by 2,112.   Figure 2 shows that babies born in Health Facility had a total of 4,533, of which 2,728 were males and 2,702 were females. Babies born at Home had a total of 895, comprised of 439 and 456 females. The remaining two (2) births of which one (1) was a male and the other was female had no place type of occurrence stated on the birth certificate.       Figure 3 shows that majority of birth deliveries were attended by Physician with a total of 2,523 of which 1,277 were males and 1,246 were females, followed by Midwife with 1,974 composed of 997 males and 977 females and Unlicensed Midwife with 739 composed of 359 and 380 male and female births, respectively. Nurse had attended a total of 172 births of which 87 were males and 85 were females. Others had attended 22 birth deliveries wherein eight (8) were males and 14 were females. Summary   Registered live births in the Province of Cavite for the month of October 2022 had a total of 5,885. Male births were predominant in most cities/municipalities. Males outnumbered females by 26. Majority of live births were registered in the City of Dasmariñas with 876 while the least came from Ternate with 19 live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. More non-marital births compared to marital births were recorded. Health Facility was the most common place type for birth deliveries and Physician was the most common attendant-at-birth.
