This special release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of November 2022 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by legitimacy status, place type and attendant-at-birth. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication. Births in Cavite Table 1 shows for the month of November 2022, a total of 5,644 live births were registered in the Province of Cavite. Male births accounted for 50.5% or 2,853 of the total births while female births accounted for 49.5% or 2,791. Males were higher by 62 than females. Two (2) cities and six (6) municipalities recorded more females than males. These were as follows: City of Imus and Tagaytay City and municipalities of General Emilio Aguinaldo, Kawit, Maragondon, Noveleta, Rosario, and Silang. The same number of male and female births were registered in Indang. The City of Dasmariñas had the highest registered live births in the province with 883 births composed of 470 males and 413 females, which accounted for 15.6% of the total registered births. This was followed by City of Bacoor and Trece Martires City with 824 and 690 registered live births, respectively. Ternate had the least number of registered live births with 9, followed by Magallanes and Amadeo with 21 and 28 births, respectively. Table 2 shows that 78.2% or 4,414 were timely registered and 21.8% or 1,230 were late registered. Timely registered births were higher by 3,184 compared to late registered births. Majority were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days. The City of Imus had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 87.6% or 359 out of 410 total registered births, followed by City of Dasmariñas with 84.9% or 750 out of 883 total registered births. The municipality of Indang had the highest percentage of late registered births with 62.5% or 40 out of 64 total registered births followed by General Emilio Aguinaldo with 54.3% or 25 out of 46 total registered births. Figure 1 shows that 3,939 or 69.8% were non-marital births or babies born out-of-wedlock and 1,705 or 30.2% were marital births. Non-marital births were higher by 2,234. Figure 2 shows that babies born in Health Facility had a total of 4,719, of which 2,391 were males and 2,328 were females. Babies born at Home had a total of 919, comprised of 457 males and 462 females. The remaining six (6) births of which five (5) were males and one (1) was a female had no place type of occurrence stated on the birth certificate. Figure 3 shows that majority of birth deliveries were attended by Physician with a total of 2,655 of which 1,347 were males and 1,308 were females, followed by Midwife with 2,053 composed of 1,050 males and 1,003 females and Unlicensed Midwife with 735 composed of 361 and 374 male and female births, respectively. Nurse had attended a total of 184 births of which 87 were males and 97 were females. Others had attended 17 birth deliveries wherein eight (8) were males and nine (9) were females. Summary Registered live births in the Province of Cavite had a total of 5,644 for the month of November 2022. Male births outnumbered female births in most cities/municipalities. Males were higher than females by 62. The highest number of registered births came from the City of Dasmariñas with 883 and the least came from Ternate with nine (9) live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. More non-marital births than marital births were recorded. Health Facility was the most common place type for birth deliveries and Physician was the most common attendant-at-birth.
