This special release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of March 2023 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by legitimacy status, place type and attendant-at-birth. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.   Births in Cavite   Table 1 shows that there were 5,308 registered live births in the Province of Cavite for the month of March 2023. Male births accounted for 50.4% or 2,673 of the total births while female births accounted for 49.6% or 2,635. Males were higher by 38 than females. Three (3) cities and nine (9) municipalities recorded more males than females. These were as follows: City of Dasmariñas, City of Imus, and Trece Martires City and municipalities of Amadeo, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Kawit, Maragondon, Naic, Rosario, Silang, Ternate and General Mariano Alvarez. The same number of male and female births were registered in the municipality of Carmona and Magallanes.   The City of Bacoor had the highest registered live births with 826 births composed of 410 males and 416 females. This was followed by City of Dasmariñas and Trece Martires City with 824 and 648 registered live births, respectively. The least registered live births were recorded in Ternate with 18, followed by Amadeo and General Emilio Aguinaldo with 26 and 27 births, respectively.   Table 2 shows that 71.9% or 3,816 were timely registered and 28.1% or 1,492 were late registered. Timely registered births were higher by 2,324 compared to late registered births. Majority were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days.   Amadeo had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 84.6% or 22 out of 26 total registered births, followed by General Emilio Aguinaldo with 81.5% or 22 out of 27 total registered births and Carmona with 81.0% or 47 out of 58 registered births. Magallanes had the highest percentage of late registered births with 78.9% or 30 out of 38 registered births, followed by Alfonso with 64.9% or 24 out of 37 registered births and Ternate with 55.6% or 10 out of 18 registered births.   Figure 1 shows that 3,680 or 69.3% were non-marital births or babies born out-of-wedlock and 1,628 or 30.7% were marital births. Non-marital births were higher by 2,052.     Figure 2 shows that babies born in Health Facility had a total of 4,244, of which 2,177 were males and 2,067 were females. Babies born at Home had a total of 1,058 comprised of 495 males and 563 females. The remaining six (6) births of which one (1) was a male and five (5) were females had no place type of occurrence stated on the birth certificate.   Figure 3 shows that majority of birth deliveries were attended by Physician with a total of 2,582 of which 1,329 were males and 1,253 were females, followed by Midwife with 1,722 composed of 876 males and 846 females and Unlicensed Midwife with 867 composed of 399 male births and 468 female births. Nurse had attended a total of 120 births of which 61 were males and 59 were females. Others had 17 birth deliveries composed of eight (8) male and nine (9) female births.   Summary   A total of 5,308 live births were registered on the month of March 2023 in the Province of Cavite. Male births were predominant in most cities/municipalities. Males outnumbered females by 38. The highest number of registered births came from the City of Bacoor with 826 and the least came from Ternate with 18 live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. There were also more non- marital births compared to marital births. Majority of birth deliveries occurred on a Health Facility and the most common attendant-at-birth was Physician.

There were 698 marriages registered in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 2.92 percent from the previous month’s total of 719.

DEATH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: February 2024 (Preliminary Results)

There were 1,198 registered deaths in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 22.4 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,543.
