Building Construction in Batangas Province Building permit applications for the month of June 2018 summed up to 264. In comparison to the previous month where 247 applications were processed, the number of building permits increased by 17. Of the 264 total building permits, 207 residential, and 52 non-residential. These constructions occupied a total floor area of 88,364 sq. m. with a total value of Php 1.160.535M. A value of Php 685.348M came from the residential constructions, while Php 462.762M came from the non-residential buildings. For this month, Batangas City submitted 102 building permits, the highest among all City/municipalities in the province. This was followed by San Jose with 16 and Agoncillo, Bauan with 13 permits respectively. The least number of permits reported, however, were from the municipalities of Calatagan, San Nicolas with only 2 while Balete and Tingloy 1. The summary of data gathered from the province proves that Laurel contributed the highest in terms of building constructions having a total value of Php 434.510M. This was followed by Batangas City with a total value of Php 420.283M.
