The first ever Internal Audit Forum hosted by Internal Audit Division of the PSA Central Office was conducted last February 22 at Rembrandt Hotel in Quezon City. OIC-Division Chief Mr. Malcolm Queyquep delivered the welcome remarks where he provided insights on what Government Internal Auditing is and what is its significance. No less than PSA National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, Undersecretary Lisa Grace S. Bersales gave the message that the activity is like priming the PSA Central Support (where Internal Audit Division belongs) to make the “PSA building” a strong and solid one. Representatives from different offices in the Central Office and selected regional offices participated in the activity wherein RD Charito C. Armonia and OIC-CRASD Wilma Villafuerte attended for PSA IV-A. Directors and officials of different government agencies and a private company were the lecturers in the forum. The topics discussed were as follows: Internal Control and Internal Audit, 2016 Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act 9184, Value of Internal Audit in Governance, Risk Management and Internal Controls, Salient Provisions of Republic Act 6713, and Social Styles. PSA Deputy National Statistician, Assistant Secretary Josie B. Perez delivered the closing remarks.
