
Trece Martires City, Cavite — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Cavite Provincial Statistical Office marked a significant milestone on February 28, 2025, with the successful conclusion of the 35th Civil Registration Month Celebration. The culminating activity and awarding ceremony held at the PSA Cavite Office highlighted the theme “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System,” which underscores the pivotal role of civil registration in enhancing transparency, accountability, and governance across the province.
Chief Statistical Specialist Lucia Iraida A. Soneja delivered an inspiring message during the ceremony, emphasizing the essential functions of civil registration in delivering timely and effective services to the public. The ceremony recognized the efforts of all Local Civil Registry Offices in the province in achieving the outstanding performance throughout 2024, as judged by their active participation in various civil registration activities initiated by their respective offices. The top five LCROs awarded for their exemplary service were:
Municipality of Gen. Mariano Alvarez - 1st Place
Municipality of Alfonso - 2nd Place
Trece Martires City - 3rd Place
Municipality of Silang - 4th Place
City of Carmona - 5th Place
In pursuit of the notable achievement, the Municipality of Gen. Mariano Alvarez Local Civil Registry Office was named Hall of Famer for securing the top position for 15 consecutive years. This accolade highlights their long-standing commitment to excellence in civil registration services.
The winners received a Plaque/ Certificate of Recognition, and a token of appreciation, while non-winning participants were acknowledged with tokens of appreciation as well. This annual celebration showcases not only outstanding offices but also strengthen the importance of collaboration among stakeholders, partners, and the community in fostering effective civil registration systems.
