03 February 2025, Trece Martires City, Cavite – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Cavite Provincial Statistical Office proudly recognized the outstanding performances of the three top winners of the 2025 Civil Registration Quiz held on February 03, 2025. The event took place at the Conference Room of PSA Cavite, Boochico Building, Governor’s Drive in Brgy. San Agustin, Trece Martires City, Cavite.

This year’s quiz participants were employees of the ten (10) Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) representing various cities and municipalities within the province of Cavite.

The competition consisted of three intense rounds, testing the participants’ knowledge on civil registration processes and regulations. After a challenging contest, Registration Officer I Krizell H. Punongbayan from LCRO Magallanes emerged victorious, securing the 1st place among the contestants.

Following closely was Administrative Assistant II Jose Luigi Victor G. Bayla of LCRO Silang, who took home the 2nd place, and Clerk I Edilyn Paz A. Acol of CCRO Dasmariñas, who proudly claimed the 3rd spot.

The top three winners—Punongbayan, Bayla, and Acol—will represent the province of Cavite in the upcoming regional competition scheduled to be held in Lipa City, Batangas, on February 11, 2025.

The civil registration quiz is a regular activity organized by the PSA in connection with the celebration of Civil Registration Month. This year’s theme, “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System,” emphasizes the importance of enhancing civil registration systems for better service delivery. PSA - Cavite congratulates all participants and wishes the top three winners the best of luck in their upcoming regional competition, highlighting the agency's commitment to promoting knowledge and excellence in civil registration across the nation.
