DVSS JANUARY 2023 (DEATH STATISTICS RIZAL INDICATORS)   This report summarizes the administrative data gathered from December 2022 documents submitted by the local civil registry offices of the thirteen municipalities and a city in the province of Rizal.   The province generated the following statistics: One Thousand Five Hundred Sixteen (1,516) for death. This represents 3.98% increase from the 1,400 registered vital events from the previous month.   DEATH STATISTICS   The province generated 1,475 timely registered deaths for the month of January 2023. Antipolo City was on the top with three hundred sixty eight (368) deaths, followed by Binangonan and with two hundred three (203) deaths and Montalban with one hundred eighty seven (187). Municipality of Jala-jala has the least number of deaths with nineteen (19).   Records showed that there were 39 timely infant deaths in total. City of Antipolo with ten (10) infant deaths. Meanwhile, Cardona, Jalajala and Pililla have no registered documents on infant deaths.   The modal age group for the number of timely registered deaths was at 70 to 74 years old with 192 occurrences in January 2023.     Eight Hundred Ninety Four or 60.61 percent of the registered deaths in the province died in their homes, whereas about 567 or 38.44 percent passed away in hospitals and 14 or 0.95 percent were deceased in places other than those mentioned above.   Sixty one point forty nine percent has been medically attended by the physicians, public health officer and in hospital before they pass away.   Age Group   Based on the graph, the highest number of deaths for Male was at age 70 to 74 years old tying with 122 total deaths. On the other hand; at the highest number of deaths for Female was on an age of 65 to 69 years old tying also with a total of 72 deaths (See Figure IV).    For the month of January 2023, male had the highest number of registered deaths compared to the number of deaths of the female. In terms of the civil status, 29.69% were single, 46.31% were married, and 24.00% were widow/widower.   With regard to corpse disposal, 83.64% of death went through burial, 16.36% were cremated.
