A 100 - year old native woman of Calaca, Batangas happily received her Birth Certificate in Security Paper under the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) of PSA On April 04, 2023, Provincial Statistical Office of Batangas and the Local Government of Calaca, with great pride and honor to personally deliver the registered birth certificate copy in security paper at one of Centenarians of City of Calaca, Batangas. “Nanay Ana Francia Matulac’’ was born on June 20, 1922 and was registered thru the initiative of local civil registry office of City of Calaca on July 2022 under the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project of PSA. The awarding was attended by the Provincial Statistical Office/Chief Statistical Specialist Raul Maximo B. Tolentino, City Civil Registrar of Calaca, Ma. Cristina M. Delos Reyes, Birth Registration Agent Jeanette L. Veyra, a representative from Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs and Municipal Social Welfare Development Office and the Barangay Captain of Coral ni Bacal where Nanay Ana resides. Alongside of the awarding of PSA Copy of her birth certificate, was giving the cash incentive for a centenarian like her from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office IV-A. Through the implementation of these project, it greatly helps those people like Nanay Ana, whose birth was not registered at the local civil registry office. With the documentary requirements being relaxed and fees waived, we are extending our big hand to help those Filipinos belonging to marginalized communities, Indigenous People and poorest sector wherein their birth was not registered due to lack of documentary requirement s and financial incapacity.
