The headline inflation in Laguna was dropped to 3.7 percent in August 2022 from 4.6 percent in July 2022. Moreover, this is a 0.8 percent index point decrease over the recorded inflation rate in the same month of 2021 at 4.5 percent. The average inflation rate for the first eight months of the year stood at 3.4 percent. (Table A and Figure 1)

The non-food and industrial crops (NFIC) production in the province increased by about 1.3 percent from 1,322,495.35 metric tons in 2022 to 1,339,522.34 metric tons in 2023.
A total of 1,534,968.45 metric tons of crops were produced in the province in 2022. This was 1.0 percent higher compared to the previous year’s figure of 1,520,260.40 metric tons.
