  The Philippine Statistics Authority RSSO IV-A conducted the online 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Press Launch via Zoom last 09 August 2022.  It was conducted for the public to know about the importance of the CBMS and how and when it will be done. Different representatives from regional line agencies, local government units that will be part of the CBMS National Rollout, academe and local media partners joined the activity.   Regional Director Charito C. Armonia encouraged the public to support the CBMS which is an effective tool in collecting necessary data and statistics needed by the government specifically the local government unit (LGUs) in coming up with their plans and projects to improve the lives of the Filipinos. It is also the source of information that will enable a system of public spending that warrants government allocation on areas and populace that are most wanting. There are thirty-three (33) cities/municipalities that will participate in the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) National Rollout enumerated as follows:     Moreover, RD Armonia encouraged the public to provide accurate information to the data collectors and assured them that the information will be treated with strict confidentiality. Data collectors who will not abide with the confidentiality clause will be penalized accordingly.  The Department of Interior and Local Government and the Department of Information and Communications Technology are part of the CBMS Council who will oversee the CBMS implementation. Field enumeration started in 8 August until October 2022 nationwide. Some LGUs will start the enumeration in October 2022.      (SGD.) CHARITO C. ARMONIA Regional Director PSA Region IV-A
