This March 2022 issue presents the Price Situation in Laguna based on the results of the 2018-based Consumer Price Index (CPI) composed of varieties of goods and services which are grouped into eleven (13) major commodity groups such as Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages; Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco; Clothing and Footwear; Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels; Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Maintenance of the House; Health; Transport; Information and Communication; Recreation, Sport and Culture; Education Services; Restaurants and Accommodation Services; Financial Services; and, Personal Care, and Miscellaneous Goods and Services.
In 2023, vegetables and root crops (VRC) production recorded a total of 156,826.21 metric tons. It decreased by 2,725.53 metric tons or about 1.7 percent compared to the previous year’s output of 159…
The non-food and industrial crops (NFIC) production in the province increased by about 1.3 percent from 1,322,495.35 metric tons in 2022 to 1,339,522.34 metric tons in 2023.
A total of 1,534,968.45 metric tons of crops were produced in the province in 2022. This was 1.0 percent higher compared to the previous year’s figure of 1,520,260.40 metric tons.
