Source: Philippine Statistics Authority, Labor Force Survey   The number of persons in the labor force in CALABARZON reached about 6.8 million of the estimated 11.1 million population 15 years old and over for 2021 (See summary statistics). This translates to a labor force participation rate (LFPR) of 62.6 percent, which means that about 63 out of 100 population aged 15 years and over were either employed or unemployed. It registered a slight increase of 0.9 percentage points compared to the LFPR in 2020 which is 61.7 percent. Moreover, April survey round posted the highest LFPR in 2021 with 64.8 percent.   Employment rate was highest in July round at 92.3 percent   The July 2021 LFS round registered the highest employment rate at 92.3 percent.  However, it slightly decreased to 89.7 percent during the October round. Compared to the annual ER of 88.4 percent in 2020, the average ER in 2021 is higher by 0.4 percentage points. It translates to about 6.3 million employed persons in 2021 from 6.1 million last year. The April estimate recorded the lowest ER this year with 86.6 percent or only 6.4 million population 15 years old and over employed persons out of the 7.4 million in the labor force. Employment rates in the region exhibited slight year-on-year increases as compared to the ERs during the pandemic period in 2020.   Figure 2. Source: Philippine Statistics Authority, Labor Force Survey   Unemployment rate for 2021 was estimated at 11.2 percent   A lower annual unemployment rate of 11.2 percent was recorded in 2021 compared to 11.6 percent in 2020. Unemployment rate was high during the first two quarters of the year with 13.1 percent in January and 13.4 percent during the April round of the LFS.  The July survey round posted a single-digit unemployment rate of 7.7 percent. As of October, of the 7.1 million population considered in the labor force in the region, 795 thousand were reported as unemployed.   Figure 3. Source: Philippine Statistics Authority, Labor Force Survey   The underemployed persons in the region were estimated at around 1.3 million in last quarter (October) of 2021. This number represented 19.7 percent of the total employed persons in the region. On the other hand, the year-on-year increment in underemployment was at 7.2 percentage points from 12.5 percent last year to 19.7 percent in October this year. This translates to about 1.3 million working population considered themselves as underemployed. With about 11.4 million estimated population 15 years old and over, labor force participation rate was at 62.6 percent. Total employed persons were approximately 6.3 million in 2021 or an annual regional employment rate of 88.9 percent. Total unemployed persons in 2021 reached 795 thousand or an unemployment rate of 11.2 percent. DEATH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: February 2024 (Preliminary Results)

There were 1,198 registered deaths in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 22.4 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,543.
