The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Quezon Provincial Statistical Office under the leadership of Provincial Statistics Officer Airene A. Pucyutan officially launched the celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) with an opening program and a data exhibit ribbon cutting ceremony held at the Activity Center, Pacific Mall, Lucena City on October 8, 2024.
Present in the event were provincial line agency heads and officials from various government and private offices, members of the Provincial Statistics Committee of Quezon, City/Municipal Civil Registrars from different cities/municipalities in the province, media partners, and other stakeholders.
The ribbon cutting ceremony of the Inter-agency Statistical Data Exhibit highlighted the event. It was led by PSA-Quezon Provincial Statistics Officer Airene A. Pucyutan together with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Quezon Provincial Director Julieta Tadiosa, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) - Quezon OIC-Provincial Officer Edd Fernan Gonzales, Quezon Association of Civil Registrars President/ City Civil Registrar of Tayabas Maide O. Jader, Project Development Officer IV Monina Talaga of Provincial Planning and Development Office, and Pacific Mall-Lucena Assistant Manager Elvira Avenido. The exhibit showcased various survey results from the PSA, complemented by statistical data contributions from different provincial line agencies including DOST, DTI, DEPED-Quezon, DENR-PENRO, DAR II, and LCRO Tayabas.
The said event also served as a platform to discuss the features of eGov application as presented by the DICT, and updates on Philippine Identification System.
The celebration of the 35th NSM adapts the theme “Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation”. The event concluded with a group photo opportunity with PSA-Quezon officials and its stakeholders. (D. Cabalsa/PSA Quezon)
