
The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office IV-A officially launched the 35th National Civil Registration Month on February 3, 2025, with activities highlighting the importance of civil registration in nation-building.
The event began with a Fun Walk participated in by PSA RSSO IV-A staff to promote the 35th CRM and encourage community engagement. This was followed by the formal opening of an Exhibit, showcasing statistical data relevant to CALABARZON Civil Registration and Vital Statistics.
PSA RSSO IV-A Regional Director, Ms. Charito C. Armonia, led the opening ceremony and in her message, she emphasized the significance of the need for an efficient and comprehensive CRVS system to support policy-making, social protection and governance.
This year’s theme, "Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System," underscores the importance of innovation and modernization in civil registration to ensure inclusivity, efficiency and sustainability by promoting long-term solutions that enhance the resilience and adaptability of civil registration systems in response to evolving societal needs and technological advancements.
Throughout February, a series of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) material distributions and Information Dissemination drives about the CALABARZON’s CRVS are scheduled, these endeavors are set to enhance public awareness and understanding of civil registration processes.
PSA RSSO IV-A remains committed to strengthening civil registration initiatives and ensuring accurate documentation of vital events. The opening ceremony set the stage for a meaningful and impactful month-long celebration.
