CPI, Year-on-Year The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Quezon province for the month of May 2022 was posted at 111.3 index points. The CPI increased by 4.7 index points from last year’s figure of 106.6. CPI by Commodity Group, Year-on-Year Alcoholic beverages and tobacco showed the highest CPI (161.0 index points) among the commodity groups. The group of financial services followed with 145.4 index points. Information and communication registered the least CPI of 100.4 index points followed by recreation, sport and culture with 100.8 index points. Inflation Rate, Year -on-Year The inflation rate (IR) in the province was recorded at 4.4 percent during the reference month. It increased by 0.4 percentage points from the previous month’s figure of 4.0 percent but decreased by 0.2 percentage points from the rate of 4.6 percent a year ago.
