This Special Release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of November 2024 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by nationality of father and mother, usual residence of the mother, and type of birth. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.

Births in Cavite

Table 1 shows that there were 4,970 registered live births in the Province of Cavite for the month of November 2024. Male births accounted for 51.6 percent or 2,566 of the total births while female births accounted for 48.4 percent or 2,404. Males were higher by 162 than females. Seven (7) cities and eight (8) municipalities recorded more male than female births. These were as follows: City of Bacoor, City of Carmona, Cavite City, City of Dasmariñas, City of General Trias, City of Imus, and Trece Martires City and municipalities of Amadeo, Kawit, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, Naic, Rosario, and Silang.

Trece Martires City recorded the highest registered live births with 912 total registered births. This was followed by City of Dasmariñas and City of Bacoor with 795 and 752 registered live births, respectively. The least registered live births were recorded in Ternate with 10, followed by Amadeo with 14 and Alfonso with 16 registered live births.

 

Table 2 shows that 87.5 percent or 4,351 were timely registered while 12.5 percent or 619 were late registered. Timely registered births were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days. These births were higher by 3,732 compared to late registered births.

General Emilio Aguinaldo had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 96.2 percent or 25 out of 26 total registered births. This was followed by Amadeo and Tagaytay City with 92.9 percent or 13 out of 14 and 65 out of 70 registered births, respectively. On the other hand, Ternate recorded the highest percentage of late registered births with 40.0 percent or four (4) out of 10 registered births. This was followed by Alfonso with 31.3 percent or five (5) out of 16 registered births and Indang with 26.3 percent or 10 out of 38 registered births.

 

Figure 1 shows that most of the babies born were from Filipino mother (4,963 or 99.9 percent) while seven (7) or 0.1 percent were babies with foreign mother. Births with Filipino mothers were higher by 4,956.

 

Figure 2 shows that most of the babies born were from Filipino father (4,688 or 94.3 percent). On the other hand, 282 or 5.7 percent were babies with foreign father. Births with Filipino fathers were higher by 4,436.

 

Figure 3 shows that the majority of the babies’ mother were residents of Cavite with a total of 4,858 while residents of other provinces were 112.

 

Figure 4 shows that majority of birth deliveries were single with a total of 4,937 of which 2,549 were males and 2,388 were females. Twins had a total of 33 composed of 17 males and 16 females.

 

Summary

For the month of November 2024, the Province of Cavite registered 4,970 live births. In the province, most births were male. Overall, there were 162 more male births (2,566) than female births (2,404). Trece Martires City recorded the highest number of registered births (912) while Ternate recorded the least with 10 live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. There were also more live births with Filipino mothers and fathers than births with foreign fathers and mothers. Majority of the mothers were residents of Cavite and among the types of birth, single was the most common.
