Number of Deaths… There were 1,104 registered deaths in Quezon in July 2020. It recorded a decrease of 11.7 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,250. The daily average of death occurrences during the month was 36 or approximately one death per hour. Deaths by Sex… There were more male deaths (621 or 56.3 percent) than female deaths (483 or 43.8 percent) registered during the month. The death sex ratio was calculated at 129 males for every 100 females in July 2020. Deaths by Age-group… Majority of the death occurrences belonged to age group 60 and over with a total of 637. This comprised more than half or 57.7 percent of the total deaths recorded for the month. Age group 55-59 years old registered the next highest death toll which accounted for 88 or 8.0 percent. Infant Deaths… Infant deaths totaled 40 or 3.6 percent of the total mortality. Infant deaths were higher for males (24) than females (16) giving an infant death sex ratio of 150 males for every 100 females.
