The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Batangas and PhilSys team in San Juan, recently provided special assistance to 91-year-old Mr. Hermogenes Pagcaliwagan Patal, a bedridden resident of Sitio Malaya 2, Laiya Ibabao, San Juan, to ensure he could complete his National ID registration. This initiative was in response to a request made by his daughter, who needed the National ID as a requirement for the late registration of his birth, to secure benefits and government assistance for her father.

The PhilSys team in San Juan made special arrangements to visit Mr. Patal at his residence, carefully facilitating his registration while ensuring his comfort throughout the process. As part of the PSA Batangas' commitment to making the National Identification System accessible to all, the team ensured that Mr. Patal was able to meet the requirements without leaving his home, given his condition.

PSA Batangas continues to work closely with local communities to ensure that even those with special needs, such as senior citizens and bedridden individuals, are able to complete their National ID registration, granting them access to essential services and government assistance programs.
