Number of Deaths… 
There were 1,207 registered deaths in Quezon in October 2023. It recorded an increase of 9.1 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,106. 
The daily average of death occurrences during the month was 39 or approximately two deaths per hour.

Deaths by Sex… 
There were more male deaths (677 or 56.1%) than female deaths (530 or 43.9%) registered during the month. 
The death sex ratio was calculated at 128 males for every 100 females in October 2023.

Deaths by Place of Occurrence and Usual Place of Residence… 
Lucena City recorded the most number of registered deaths at 335 or 27.8 percent. This may be explained by its large population and the health facilities available in the city. 
The City of Tayabas (75 or 6.2%) came next in terms of highest number of deaths registered. It was followed by Candelaria (71 or 5.9%) and Sariaya (59 or 4.9%). 
There were 227 deaths that occurred outside the usual place of residence of the deceased. 
Lucena City recorded the highest number of deaths (180) that occurred outside the usual residence of the deceased. It was followed by Infanta (18) and Gumaca (7). 
Majority of the rest of the municipalities and city of the province registered higher number of deaths by usual residence than the number of deaths by place of occurrence.

DEATH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: 2023 (Preliminary Results)

There were 15,439 registered deaths in Quezon for the year 2023. It recorded an increase of 6.4 percent from the previous year’s figure of 14,508.

MARRIAGE STATISTICS IN QUEZON: 2023 (Preliminary Results)

There were 8,399 registered marriages in Quezon for the year 2023 showing a decrease of 10.6 percent from the previous year’s total of 9,396.

BIRTH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: 2023 (Preliminary Results)

The total number of love births in Quezon reported for the year 2023 was 46,261. This figure was higher by 255 or 0.6 percent from the previous year’s total of 46,006.
