Number of Deaths… 
 There were 15,403 registered deaths in Quezon for the year 2024. It recorded a decrease of 0.2 percent from the previous year’s figure of 15,439. 
 The daily average of death occurrences during the year was 42 or approximately two deaths per hour.

Deaths by Sex… 
 There were more male deaths (8,623 or 56.0%) than female deaths (6,780 or 44.0%) registered during the year. 
 The death sex ratio was calculated at 127 males for every 100 females in 2024.

Deaths by Month of Occurrence… 
 January (1,543 or 10.0 percent) and April (1,424 or 9.2 percent) recorded the highest death toll while the lowest was noted in March (1,032 or 6.7 percent).

 January recorded the highest daily average of 50 deaths, followed by April and August with 47 and 46 deaths per day, respectively. 
 Daily index of more than 100 indicates a daily average higher than the overall figure at the provincial level.  
 Five months of the year had daily indices above 100.

Deaths by Place of Occurrence and Usual Place of Residence… 
 Lucena City recorded the most number of registered deaths at 4,320 or 28.0 percent. This may be explained by its large population and the health facilities available in the city. 
 The municipality of Candelaria had the second-highest number of registered deaths with 1,044 or 6.8 percent, followed by Sariaya and Lopez, with 860 deaths (5.6%) and 747 deaths (4.8%), respectively. 
 There were 2,656 deaths that occurred outside the usual place of residence of the deceased. 
 Lucena City recorded the highest number of deaths (1,971) that occurred outside the usual place of residence of the deceased. It was followed by Infanta (160) and Gumaca (139). 
 Majority of the rest of the municipalities and city of the province registered higher number of deaths by usual residence than the number of deaths by place of occurrence.
