This special release presents the statistical data on marriages occurring for the month of February 2024 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of registered marriages by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered marriages by nationality of bride and groom. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.

Marriages in Cavite

A total of 1,748 marriages were registered in the Province of Cavite for the month of February 2024. Figure 1 shows that Silang recorded the highest registered marriages at 254, followed by City of Dasmariñas and Trece Martires City with 251 and 205 weddings, respectively. The least registered marriages was recorded in the municipality of Magallanes with only three (3), followed by General Emilio Aguinaldo and Ternate with five (5) weddings each.

Moreover, timely registered marriages accounted for 1,727 or 98.8 percent while late registered marriages accounted for only 21 or 1.2 percent. Silang also registered the highest number of timely registered marriages in the province. Out of 23 cities/municipalities in the province, 3 cities and 12 municipalities had all of their recorded marriages registered on time.

Figure 2 shows that 1,383 or 96.0 percent of the 1,441 grooms in January 2024 were Filipino citizens. Foreign citizens recorded 58 or 4.0 percent of the grooms in Cavite. The highest number of foreign citizens came from United States of America with 17 grooms, followed by from Australia with four (4) grooms, from China and Japan with two (2) grooms each, and from Spain with one (1) groom.

On the other hand, Figure 3 shows that in February 2024, 1,745 or 99.8 percent of the 1,748 brides were Filipino citizens, while foreign citizens totaled to three (3) or 0.2 percent of the brides in Cavite.

Summary

The Province of Cavite recorded a total of 1,441 marriages for the month of January 2024. Silang had the highest registered marriages of 229 and with the most number of timely registered marriages. General Emilio Aguinaldo had the least with nine (9) marriages. Majority of the registered marriages were timely registered. The total late registered marriages were only 22. No late registered marriages were reported in 4 cities and 9 municipalities in the province. Most of the grooms and brides are Filipino citizens. Grooms and brides with foreign citizenship reached 58 and 4, respectively.

There were 698 marriages registered in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 2.92 percent from the previous month’s total of 719.

DEATH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: February 2024 (Preliminary Results)

There were 1,198 registered deaths in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 22.4 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,543.
