Statistics on deaths that occurred in the Province of Cavite during the month of June 2024 are provided in this special release. This document has been divided down into city/municipal level data disaggregated by sex and registration status. Also, it displays the total number of deaths registered whether infant or fetal death. The data used to prepare this publication was obtained from the civil registration documents in which the Local Civil registration Offices (LCROs) submitted to the Cavite Provincial Statistical Office for evaluating, editing and undergo into machine processing.
Deaths in Cavite
Table 1 shows that the Province of Cavite recorded 1,691 deaths for the month of June 2024. A total of 927 men and 764 women died during the month. However, deaths declared not stated had a total of 38 comprising 24 males and 14 females. Also, deaths declared from other provinces had a total of 69 with 46 males and 23 females. Compared to female deaths, male deaths were higher by 163. Relatively, majority of the cities and municipalities reported more male deaths than female deaths except for Cavite City, City of Imus Noveleta and Tagaytay City. Moreover, number of deaths for both men and women were the same for City of Carmona (16), Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo (3), Mendez (10), Rosario (26) and Ternate (8).
Furthermore, the most reported deaths in Cavite were recorded in the City of Dasmariñas with 310, followed by the City of Imus with 175 and City of Bacoor with 174.

Table 2 shows that majority of the deaths were timely registered with 1,674 or 99 percent while seventeen (17) were late registered.
The City of Dasmariñas was the highest among the 23 cities/municipalities in the province in terms of registration status with four (4) late registered deaths. However, No late registration was reported in the municipalities of Alfonso, General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), General Emilio Aguinaldo, Indang, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, Noveleta, Rosario and Ternate, and Cities of Carmona, Cavite City and Tagaytay City.

Table 3 showed the Types of Deaths registered in the province of Cavite for the month of June 2024. The number of deaths reported for Infant was 49 or 2.90 percent of the total registered deaths. However, 36 or 2.13 percent was recorded for fetal death. No record of death was reported for maternal.
Furthermore, in terms of type of death in the province, Trece Martires City was recorded with the highest total for Infant death with 17 and 6 for Fetal.

Moreover, City of Dasmariñas registered the highest number of deaths with 361, followed by City of Bacoor and City of Imus with 193 and 188 deaths, respectively. The least number of registered deaths was registered from the municipality of Magallanes with a total of four (4).
Summary
There were 1,691 deaths that were officially reported in the Province of Cavite during the month of June 2024. With 163 more male deaths than female. The City of Dasmariñas had the highest number of deaths reported with 361, while Magallanes had the fewest deaths reported with only four (4). Compared to late registered deaths, timely registered deaths had a high rate of 99 percent. No late registered deaths in three (3) cities and ten (10) municipalities. No maternal death reported during the month of June 2024.

Fetal Death - This type of death is considered for the fetus that had intra-uterine life of less than seven months and died within 24 hours after its complete delivery from the maternal womb.
Infant Death - This type of death refers to the death of the infant between 1 day to 1 year of age.
Late Register - a death certificate that is registered after the 30-day time frame from the date of death, the standard deadline for registration; a process where the death of an individual is recorded in the civil registry even after the prescribed period for registration has passed.
LCRO (Local Civil Registry Office) – an office within a city or municipal government responsible for recording and maintaining vital events like births, marriages, and deaths, as well as court decrees and other legal instruments affecting a person's civil status.

Maternal Death - This type of death defines as the death of a pregnant mother due to complications related to pregnancy.
Preliminaries - refer to an initial finding or outcomes that is not yet final or fully verified, serving as an early indication of a trend or pattern that needs further analysis or investigation.
Statistics - concerned with developing and studying methods for collecting, analyzing, interpreting and presenting empirical data.
Timely Register - registering a death certificate with the Local Civil Registrar (LCR) within 30 days of the death.
