This special release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of February 2024 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by nationality of father and mother, usual residence of the mother, and type of birth. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.

Births in Cavite

Table 1 shows that there were 4,424 registered live births in the Province of Cavite for the month of February 2024. Male births accounted for 51.0 percent or 2,259 of the total births while female births accounted for 49.0 percent or 2,165. Males were higher by 95 than females. Seven (7) cities and seven (7) municipalities recorded more male births than females. These were as follows: Cities of Bacoor, Carmona, Cavite, Dasmariñas, Imus, Tagaytay and Trece Martires and municipalities of General Emilio Aguinaldo, Kawit, Maragondon, Mendez, Naic, Silang  and General Mariano Alvarez.

The City of Bacoor recorded the highest registered live births with 712 composed of 374 males and 338 females. This was followed by City of Dasmariñas and Trece Martires City with 670 and 560 registered live births, respectively. The least registered live births were recorded in Ternate 12, followed by Amadeo and Alfonso with 17 and 26 live births, respectively.

Table 2 shows that 72.6 percent or 3,213 were timely registered and 27.4 percent or 1,211 were late registered. Timely registered births were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days. These were higher by 2,002 compared to late registered births.

Noveleta had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 86.4 percent or 57 out of 66 total registered births. This was followed by Mendez with 81.1 percent or 30 out of 37 total registered births and Trece Martires City with 80.7 percent or 452 out of 560 total registered births. On the other hand, Rosario recorded the highest percentage of late registered births with 75.0 percent or 48 out of 64 registered births, followed by Alfonso with 65.4 percent or 17 out of 26 registered births and Magallanes with 56.3 percent or 18 out of 32 registered births.

Figure 1 shows that 4,404 or 99.5% were babies with Filipino parents and 20 or 0.5% were babies with one (1) foreign parent. Births with Filipino parents were higher by 4,384.

Figure 2 shows that the majority of the babies’ mother were residents of Cavite with a total of 4,318 while residents of other provinces were 106.

Figure 3 shows that majority of birth deliveries were single with a total of 4,394 of which 2,244 were males and 2,150 were females. It was followed by twins with 29 composed of 14 males and 15 females. There was 1 birth under triplets or more.

Summary

The Province of Cavite had recorded a total of 4,424 live births for the month of February 2024. Male births were predominant in the province. Overall, males outnumbered females by 95. The highest number of registered births came from the City of Bacoor with 712 and the least came from Ternate with 12 live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. There were also more live births with Filipino parents than births with one (1) foreign parent. Majority of the mothers were residents of Cavite and among the types of birth, single was the most common.

There were 698 marriages registered in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 2.92 percent from the previous month’s total of 719.

DEATH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: February 2024 (Preliminary Results)

There were 1,198 registered deaths in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 22.4 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,543.
