This special release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of August 2024 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by nationality of father and mother, usual residence of the mother, and type of birth. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.
Births in Cavite
Table 1 shows that there were 4,397 registered live births in the Province of Cavite for the month of August 2024. Male births accounted for 51.6 percent or 2,270 of the total births while female births accounted for 48.4 percent or 2,127. Males were higher by 143 than females. Six (6) cities and eight (8) municipalities recorded more male than female births. These were as follows: City of Bacoor, City of Carmona, Cavite City, City of Imus, Tagaytay City and Trece Martires City and municipalities of Indang, Kawit, Mendez, Noveleta, Rosario, Silang, Ternate and General Mariano Alvarez. The same number of female and male births were recorded in Maragondon and Tanza.
The City of Bacoor recorded the highest registered live births with 736 total registered births. This was followed by City of Dasmariñas and Trece Martires City with 668 and 645 registered live births, respectively. The least registered live births were recorded in Ternate with six (6), followed by Alfonso with 12. Amadeo and Magallanes both recorded 15 registered live births.

Table 2 shows that 85.7 percent or 3,769 were timely registered while 14.3 percent or 628 were late registered. Timely registered births were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days. These births were higher by 3,141 compared to late registered births.
Mendez had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 93.5 percent or 29 out of 31 total registered births. This was followed by Naic with 93.0 percent or 240 out of 258 and Noveleta with 90.6 percent or 48 out of 53 registered births. On the other hand, Amadeo recorded the highest percentage of late registered births with 53.3 percent or eight (8) out of 15 registered births. This was followed by 33.3 percent late registered births of Alfonso, Magallanes and Ternate with four (4) out of 12 registered births, five (5) out 15 registered births and two (2) out of six (6) registered births, respectively.

Figure 1 shows that most of the babies born were from Filipino mother (4,393 or 99.9 percent) while four (4) or 0.1 percent were babies with foreign mother. Births with Filipino mothers were higher by 4,389.

Figure 2 shows that most of the babies born were from Filipino father (4,113 or 93.5 percent). On the other hand, 284 or 6.5 percent were babies with foreign father. Births with Filipino fathers were higher by 3,829.

Figure 3 shows that the majority of the babies’ mother were residents of Cavite with a total of 4,279 while residents of other provinces were 118.

Figure 4 shows that majority of birth deliveries were single with a total of 4,361 of which 2,256 were males and 2,105 were females. Twins had a total of 34 composed of 13 males and 21 females. Triplets or more had a total of 2 composed of one (1) male and one (1) female.

Summary
The Province of Cavite had recorded a total of 4,397 live births for the month of August 2024. Male births were predominant in the province. Overall, males (2,270) outnumbered females (2,127) by 143. The highest number of registered births came from City of Bacoor with 736 and the least came from Ternate with six (6) live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. There were also more live births with Filipino mothers and fathers than births with foreign fathers and mothers. Majority of the mothers were residents of Cavite and among the types of birth, single was the most common.
