Building permit applications during the year 2018 reached 4,653 representing a decrease of 6.30 percent as compared to 4,966 received from previous year. It can be noted that the number of applications for all types of building increased for the year 2018 as recorded from the year 2017 except for Residential Buildings. The total value of building construction amounted to P11.16 billion with an increase of 36 percent from P8.22 billion recorded for the year 2018. Value of construction for residential buildings went up by 10 percent from P5.46 billion to P6.03 billion, on the other hand, Non-residential increased by 104 percent to P4.7 billion from P2.3 billion. Additions, Repairs and Alterations registered at P467.71 million from P432.49 million or an increase of 8 percent. In terms of value of building construction, Antipolo City remained highest at P5.52 billion, representing 49 percent of the total value. Total value of residential building construction reached PHP 6.03 billion with a total floor area of 558 thousand square meters, translating to an average cost of PHP 10,802 per square meter.
