The increase of province’s inflation was primarily due to the higher annual increment recorded in the indices of Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages at 6.4 percent in August 2023 from 5.3 percent in July 2023; Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels at 5.2 percent from 4.8 percent; Furnishing, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance at 1.0 percent from 0.8 percent; Recreation, Sport and Culture at 2.8 percent from 2.0 percent; and Transport at -9.9 percent from -5.9 percent.
