The headline inflation in Quezon province eased to 5.5 percent in August 2022, after seven consecutive months of acceleration. With this month’s inflation, the average inflation of Quezon province from January to August 2022 stood at 4.3 percent. In August 2021, inflation rate was posted at 6.3 percent.

The headline inflation in CALABARZON slightly increased to 5.9 percent in July 2022, from 5.8 percent in June 2022. This is the highest recorded inflation since November 2018. Moreover, this is a 1.8-percent index point increase over the recorded inflation rate in the same month of 2021 at 4.1 percent. The average inflation for the first seven months of the year stood at 4.3 percent.
