A total of 4,354 live births were registered in the province in April 2018. It recorded an increase of 13.4 percent from the March figure of 3,840. The daily average of birth occurrences during the month was 145. Of the total births registered, 50.6 percent were males and 49.4 percent were females. This resulted to a birth sex ratio of 102 males for every 100 females. Lucena City recorded the highest number of live births with a total of 1,029 or 23.6 percent of the total births registered in the province. It was followed by Candelaria with a total of 261 or 6.0 percent. The least number of registered births was observed in the municipality of Plaridel with only 1 or 0.02 percent.

A total of 3,680 live births were registered in the province in February 2018. It recorded a decrease of 13.8 percent from the January figure of 4,267. The daily average of birth occurrences during the month was 131.Of the total births registered, 48.2 percent were males and 51.8 percent were females. This resulted to a birth sex ratio of 93 males for every 100 females. Lucena City recorded the highest number of live births with a total of 1,008 or 27.4 percent of the total births registered in the province. It was followed by Lopez with a total of 257 or 7.0 percent. The least number of registered births was observed in the municipality of Sampaloc with only 2 or 0.05 percent.
